Become a Distributor

Distribute rbAmp in your country, region, or vertical. Wholesale tiers start at 10 units; OEM and private-label options open at 500+. We are looking for partners who already serve the DIY / maker / energy-monitoring audience and can give us real reach in markets we cannot serve directly.


Who fits

We are selective on first-batch distributors. The fit is:

  • You already sell to overlapping audiences — makerspaces, DIY home automation shops, electronics distributors, solar installers' supply chains, small B2B integrators
  • You can hold stock and ship locally — your customers get 1–3 day delivery instead of 2-week international shipping
  • You handle first-line support in your language — translated docs and basic Q&A complex issues escalate to us
  • You want long-term partnership — we share the roadmap; you share market feedback; both sides commit beyond a one-off bulk order

Distributor tiers

Tier 1 — Regional reseller · 50–200 units / quarter

  • 25 % off retail
  • 30-day net payment terms after first three orders
  • Featured on rbAmp distributor map (region-targeted SEO traffic)
  • Access to pre-release sample units for testing before each new line ships
  • Co-branded YouTube / blog content opportunity (we provide units; you produce content)

Tier 2 — Country distributor · 500+ units / quarter

  • 30 % off retail
  • 45-day net payment terms
  • Exclusive distribution in your country (for the markets we agree on — typically one country per Tier 2 partner)
  • Custom packaging with co-branded box
  • Quarterly roadmap calls with our product team
  • Direct line to engineering for escalations

Tier 3 — OEM / Private label · 2 000+ units, annual commit

  • Volume pricing — quoted per case
  • White-label option: your brand on the PCB silkscreen and packaging
  • Custom firmware compilation (within reasonable engineering effort)
  • Direct production scheduling (you book slots ahead of public availability)
  • NDA-protected roadmap; early access to new lines 3–6 months before public

How to apply

  • Company name and country
  • Existing business — what you currently sell and to whom
  • Volume estimate — units per quarter or per year (honest estimate; we know quarter-1 is always lower than projection)
  • Distribution channel — your own webshop, Amazon storefront, wholesale-only, retail stores, integration in installer kits, etc.
  • Timeline — when do you want to start moving stock
  • Use case detail — what gap rbAmp fills for your customers

We respond within 1–2 business days. If the fit looks right, we book a 30-minute video call to walk through pricing, payment terms, support handoff, and roadmap alignment.


What we expect from you

The partnership is mutual — we do not just take your money and ship boxes. In return for the volume discount and exclusive-territory protection, we expect:

  • Honest stock reporting. We need to plan production. If your stock is sitting, tell us before we ship the next batch.
  • Localised support. First-line Q&A in your customers' language. We provide the canonical docs in EN; you handle translation and quick replies. Hard cases escalate to us.
  • Honest feedback loop. Quarterly check-in on what worked, what did not, what your customers asked for. The next product line is shaped by this feedback.
  • Brand integrity. Co-marketing positions rbAmp as honest, technical, and DIY-friendly. We do not bundle our products with vague "smart home" marketing that confuses the audience.

What you can expect from us

  • Roadmap transparency. Tier 2 / 3 partners see the 6-month product roadmap under NDA. No surprises.
  • Technical access. Direct Slack / email line to firmware and hardware engineers for escalations.
  • Marketing assets. Brand kit, product photos, datasheets, comparison tables — all current, in English (and translation files available for the EN copy).
  • Inventory communication. Production schedule shared in advance; you know when your next batch ships before you place the order.
  • Long-term commitment. We do not change product lines every 6 months. rbAmp v1.0 firmware will stay backwards-compatible as long as we ship the hardware.

Common questions

Can I just buy 10 units at wholesale to test the market? Yes — the 10-unit threshold is intentional. It's small enough to be a real pilot, large enough that we know you are serious. 10 % off retail at this volume.

Do you ship from EU / US / China warehouses? EU and China at launch. US warehousing is on the M+6 roadmap. EU stock is in France; China stock is in Zhuhai. We pick the source based on your shipping address.

What is the minimum order quantity? - Tier 1 (25 % off): 10 units to start; 50 / quarter to maintain - Tier 2 (30 % off): 100 units to start; 500 / quarter to maintain - Tier 3 (custom pricing): 2 000+ annual commit

Are payment terms negotiable? For new partners we ask for prepayment on the first two orders. Net-30 / Net-45 unlocks after that. Tier 3 partners can negotiate custom terms.

Do you ship to my country? We currently ship to EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and most Southeast Asia. Other countries — we look at customs / VAT rules case-by-case. Email [email protected] with your country and we will check.

Can I distribute multiple rb-family brands at once? Yes — rbAmp, rbDimmer, and RBgrid are all RocketController brands and can be bundled under a single distribution agreement. Many distributors carry all three.
